How to Pack a Microwave for Moving?

• Cleaning the microwave from the inside out is the first thing to do. The problem is, you don't want to transfer the oven if it's filthy and covered in stains and food residue—this will make your job even more difficult after the move.
• Ensure that the microwave oven's interior is totally dry before closing the door.
• The microwave should be unplugged from the electrical socket, the power wire should be secured with a zip tie, and then taped to the microwave's back. 
• Place multiple layers of soft packing paper inside your microwave, then secure the material with packing tape.
• Cover the spotless glass turntable tray with tissue paper and, for added security, cover it with bubble wrap. Pack the microwave oven accessory individually in a different box that holds other breakable kitchen products, or in the same packaging if there is sufficient area.
• Transfer it into the box that has been prepared, taking care to move it slowly and steadily. This will prevent you from dropping the oven on your feet by accident.
• Try the "shake test" by lifting the box and giving it a little shake to see whether the microwave oven is moving. If the answer is no, then you've done an excellent job and can close the box. If so, stuff the cardboard container's sides with more padding.
• Tape the box by tucking the container's flaps closed and sealing it with packing tape.
• Label the box with the words "MICROWAVE" and "KITCHEN". This is done to inform the person handling the box that its contents are breakable.
