• A rough sketch of your house

• A pencil and a notepad

• an inch-tape

If you have a simply constructed house which is in rectangular shape, then just take an inch-tape and measure the length and width of the room. 

For example:

Each room in your house has the same dimensions and you have 3 rooms. The area of a room is 15x30 then the room area is 450 sq ft. Now multiply this to 3 the area of three rooms will be 1350. Add the area of kitchen and bathrooms to it and you will have the exact dimensions.

Suppose the floor plan of your house is a little complex in that case take the measurements of each usable area and then keep adding them. You will have the exact dimensions with you.
