Karnataka is spread across a huge area. The northern part of Karnataka has black soil while the southern and coastal part has red soil. The cost of agricultural land changes every few kilometers. In Kodagu region the rate ranges from 30–40 lakhs per acre for agricultural land, to 1 Lakh per cent (1/100 of an acre) on the outskirts of a town, to 3–4 lakhs in the town. If you are looking for land near Bangalore, then I would suggest locations like Hosur, Tumkur and Nandi Hills if you want a land approximately 100 km from Bangalore and within Karnataka. If you are flexible to check out land in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, I would suggest areas like Hosur, Tamil Nadu which is about 60km from Bangalore; Bagalur, Tamil Nadu which is around 50 km from Bangalore and Hindu Pur, Andhra Pradesh about 100 km from Bangalore.
