We had planned to opt for marble flooring but our ground floor already has it so now we are planning to shift to tile flooring. I had no idea of how much does it cost to tile a floor and on asking this question to my father he said that it mainly depends on the quality of tile one is using. You should also know that apart from the materials’ cost the labour charge is quite high. Of course it depends on the materials and quality of tiles to estimate the total cost but to get an approximate idea, I think it is better to share with you all a chart that will definitely guide you. This cost incorporates fixing the tiles with tile cement, trailed by grouting, the last cleaning of the tiles and removal of waste produced during the establishment of floor tiles.
  4. Material for grouting: The tile installer or supplier can figure out how much-powdered tile grout is needed based on the total area that needs to be tiled. The total cost of installing tiles is the sum of the costs for the tiles themselves, the material (tile adhesive), labour, and powdered tile grout.
  5. Various other expenses: During the installation of the tiles, there may be some varying expenses. The existing flooring must be removed if the tiling is installed in an older home. Labor Costs:

Hiring a professional for installation is key. Labor costs typically range from ₹30 to ₹50 per square foot. Intricate patterns or complex layouts may increase the labor cost.

Additional Materials:

Factor in costs for adhesive, grout, spacers, and other installation materials. This can range from ₹10 to ₹20 per square foot.

Surface Preparation:

If the existing floor needs preparation, costs can vary. Simple surface preparation may cost ₹5 to ₹10 per square foot, while more extensive work can reach ₹20 per square foot.
