The rental contract between the landlord and the tenant is a legally binding agreement. It includes details about the landlord: name, Aadhar card number, PAN card details, permanent address, bank details, etc. It also includes information about the tenant: name, bank details, occupation, Aadhar card number, PAN card details, place of work, etc. The rent agreement extensively dictates rules and regulations set by the landlord and tenant. From the rent amount agreed by both the parties to the security deposit, notice period, lock-in period, clause for the increase in rent, etc everything is mentioned.

The agreement also mentions how long the tenant can stay in the rented property. The lease in the time period is mentioned. Once the rental contract is over, the tenant has to vacate the property if the leasing period of the house has finished. If the tenant is not ready to evict the house, the landlord can send a legal notice.

If the tenant wants to renew the rental contract, they can speak to the landlord about the same. If the landlord agrees, the tenant can stay on a month-to-month lease basis
