Currently, Chennai has 200 wards and the city is divided into 15 zones. Earlier there were 107 wards but the remaining 93 wards were added. Amongst the 200 wards 26 were reserved for scheduled caste and scheduled tribes and the 58 wards were reserved for women. I will share the name of the 15 zones and their division below. This will help you out.

  • There are four options present on the home page: "Know your zone and division", "Ward notification gazette", "Ward Maps", and "Reservation-2022".

  • If you know your division, You need to choose the "Ward Maps" option wherein you are required to select the zone number and the division.
  • Post this, and you will find a pdf of your ward map along with all the details of your ward number.

    • Click on the ‘Online Services’ section on the home page.
    • Then click on "Know Your Zone & Division" option present by the end of the page.
    • Enter your address or location in the search bar and click on the "Search" button.
    • Your zone and ward number will be displayed on the screen.
  2. Offline: You can also find your zone and ward number offline by visiting your nearest GCC office. You can speak to a customer service representative and they will be able to help you find your zone and ward number.
