Within the municipal limits of any urban area 5%
Within the limits of any municipal council/ panchayat/ cantonment of any area within MMRDA 4%
Within the limits of any gram panchayat 3%
The registration charges in Mumbai are 1% of the total cost of the property. If the property costs more than Rs. 30 lakhs then the registration charges will be capped at Rs 30,000.
