I took a rented place in Bangalore. In the rent agreement I had mentioned mine and another person's name. However, a third person has joined us since past two months to stay permanently and we weren't aware that we had to highlight it to the owner. Now the owner is asking for a higher rent starting next month or asking us to vacate, saying it is illegal. However there was no restriction in the number of residents to be stayed in the house. So is it actually illegal?
