How to generate e way bill without part B?

The E Way bill is divided into two parts i.e, part A and Part B. Part A of the E way bill has to be filled up by:

• the Supplier or

• the Recipient if the supplier is unregistered or

• the e-commerce operator, when supplied on an e-commerce platform

• the transporter, if no e-Way Bill was produced for that Invoice/Challan by supplier/ recipient 

On the other hand, part B of E way bill should be filled up by the supplier and the transporter. 

Part B of the E Way bill is not required if the goods are transported for a distance less than 20 lm within the State or Union territory between consignor and consignee place. This is when you can generate e way bill without part B.

How to generate E way bill?

• Go to the E-Way bill portal at:

https://ewaybill.nic.in/

• Fill in the Username, password, captcha and log in.

• Tap on 'Generate New' from the E-Way bill section.

• Fill in the field details.

• Under 'transaction type' choose 'outward' if you are the sender and 'Inward' if you are the receiver.

• Choose the type of documents you want to upload.

• In case you want to upload an unlisted document choose 'others'.

• Enter the document/ invoice number.

• Mention the document date as well.

• If the supplier or the receiver is yet to be registered enter 'URP' that is  '

  Unregistered Person

  ’ in the GSTIN field.

• Fill in the important details such as:

• Name of the product

• Product description

• Harmonized System of Nomenclature (HSN) Code

• Quantity

• Unit

• Taxable value

• Applicable tax rates of CGST and SGST or IGST (To be expressed in %)

• Tax rate of Cess (if any) in percentage terms.

• Enter important details such as Transporter name, transporter ID, and transporter Doc. No. & Date.
