Chose Viveka Nagar for my first investment because it’s central and yet affordable. My broker suggested it over Ulsoor or Indiranagar. Rents aren’t very high, but always consistent. The area is mostly residential, with some new apartment blocks coming up. Bit noisy, but worth the location.
Went to a diagnostic centre near Viveka Nagar signal. Took an auto from Ashok Nagar. The area was busy, but people were cooperative. Pharmacy was easy to locate. Cleanliness can improve, but the locality felt safe even during the evening.
We’ve been renting out our ground floor unit for over 5 years now. Never had a vacancy longer than a few days. Working people prefer this location because of its closeness to Domlur and MG Road. Sometimes drainage issues come up during rains, but BBMP does respond.
Viveka Nagar is great for working folks like me. Metro isn’t close yet, but autos are always there. Area has a strong local vibe, not too commercialised like Koramangala. There’s a park I walk to in the evenings, and also a decent gym nearby. Flats are small but affordable.

I stay in a 1BHK near Viveka Nagar bus stand. Office at Domlur, so this location works well, easy commute by bike or even by auto. Local market is super handy for daily needs. It’s a bit crowded, but I feel safe walking back late. Lots of street food options also.
