Doddenahalli is a village in northeast Bangalore in Karnataka. It is situated near Hoskote town, around 20km from Central Bangalore. The Doddenahalli pin code is 562149 and is close to other localities like Bagaluru, Sathanur, and Hoskote. Doddenahalli Bangalore mainly comprises working professionals from Bengaluru's IT corridor who own homes here due to improved connectivity and tranquillity compared to the city. The infrastructure is growing with several educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and entertainment zones within close proximity.
I moved here for a more peaceful environment after staying in Marathahalli. It’s so much more relaxed. No traffic chaos, no constant honking. There are no branded supermarkets nearby. I mostly order online. Also, no good restaurants or cafes close by. I miss hanging out at cafes after work.
What I love most is the peace. Doddenahalli still feels semi-rural, so it’s quieter than other parts of North Bangalore. The disadvantage is public transport isn’t very frequent. My kids have to rely on private vans for school.
Rent is relatively affordable compared to Devanahalli or Yelahanka. Internet providers are however limited. I struggled to get Airtel fiber and had to settle for a local provider.
For me, this was purely an investment decision. I bought a 30x40 site in 2018 and constructed a house by 2022. The place is seeing more layouts, so the future tenant demand will increase. Not easy to find tenants yet. Most people prefer to rent closer to Yelahanka
I love this area because of the quiet surroundings. As someone working from home, I can focus without constant traffic noise. But summers can be terrible as limited water supply is seen. I’ve seen borewells dry up in a few neighboring houses.

Doddenahalli is a calm area in outskirts of Bangalore and slowly growing infrastructure. This area is peaceful, with clean air and open spaces, making it a good choice for nature lovers, people working from home, and long-term property buyers. Basic shops like grocery stores, general stores and small eateries are available, but there aren’t many modern restaurants or fun hangout spots. The roads are still need development and lacking with streets lights. It’s a quiet place for people who like a simple life, but not great for those who want all the comforts of the city.
