Feels safe for women, even at night. I can walk back from the main road without worry. But street lighting is still missing in some parts.
There’s a calmness in Arekere I enjoy. No loud nightlife, which suits me. But for younger folks, it may feel a bit too quiet and slow.
Decent options for flats, especially for couples. Plus medical facilities are close. The downside is there’s still a lot of traffic noise near the main junction.
