I recently got my home interior woodwork completed. I’ve used MR plywood for my cabinets, and panelling. So if you are interested in "What is MR plywood?" I can share my insights with you.

What is MR Grade Plywood?

Moisture-Resistant Plywood, sometimes referred to as MR plywood, is a kind of plywood that is used to make furniture, cabinets, and shelves. They are often referred to as commercial plywood.

Features of MR Grade Plywood: It is not waterproof:

The most widespread misperception regarding MR grade plywood is its waterproof nature. The MR in MR grade plywood really stands for moisture-resistant, which means that moisture can be easily resisted. It is only moisture-resistant, and not water resistant

It is termite resistant:

MR grade plywood is resistant to termites infestations because of the chemical treatment that reputable plywood manufacturers use when manufacturing this type of plywood.

Durable:

More plies in a piece of plywood increase its ability to withstand daily use-related wear and tear. It is because MR grade plywood is composed of premium hardwood wood, it has the highest strength and durability and is ideal for both home and commercial applications.

I hope this helps you understand what is MR plywood.
