The process to get the name changed in official property tax is very simple, provided you have all the necessary documents in place. Here is the process:

Visit the concerned BBMP office and submit the application along with the self-attested photocopies of documents like Khata Certificate, Latest Tax paid receipt, Sale Deed,  and a Requisition letter. The officials will verify the details and you will see the updated name in the records usually in 10 to 30 days.

I don’t know about the property mutation charges in Bangalore but I can tell you that some states charge between Rs. 25-100 while other states charge at least 1 percent of the property cost.
