You should put a seal to a crack as soon as you notice it. Cracks can not only create leakage in the house but they also invite unwanted insects and pests which can cause a lot of trouble in the long run. As the monsoon season is coming you should carry out this job in no time. I had encountered some cracks on my roof and I have followed a process to seal it. Let me share with you that crack seal for roof process with you.

How to seal cracks in roof?

  • Waterproof:
The first step to solve the water leakage or cracks problem is to waterproof it. Even if the rain falls it will protect the rooftop as a shield temporarily.
  • Epoxy Grouting:
I have tried this method and I feel this is long-lasting. Let me share with you the step by step process.
  1. Clean the crack first by removing the dirt.
  2. Grouting widens the crack now.
  3. Fill in with epoxy grouting and seal the portion with epoxy gel immediately. You can also use Plaster of Paris with water if you don't want to use epoxy grouting.
  4. Paint the roof after the gel dries up.
