Hi Friend, About a year ago, the sale deed of my property in Bangalore got misplaced. Hence, It was during that time to retrieve a certify copy of deed, I applied for the same in an offline mode.   • You should report the loss, theft, or misplacement of your sale deed by filing an FIR at the closest police station.
  • Before visiting the Sub-office, Registrar's you can use the internet to verify the progress of your FIR (SRO). Each office's address is listed in the state link.
  • Put your contact information and a description of your deed in a lost and found ad in your preferred newspaper. If your deed was just lost, wait for 2 to 4 weeks for someone to return it.
  • After the waiting period, go to the Sub-office Registrar's where your property is registered, and submit an application to receive the certified copy of your sale deed.
  • Create an affidavit on paper using a stamp next.
  • You must sign an undertaking and detail everything that occurred. Attach the Affidavit to the FIR, newspaper adverts, and any press coverage (if any).
