• 4 kW × ₹330 = ₹1,320

• ₹3,930 + ₹1,320 = ₹5,250

• 5% of ₹5,250 = ₹262.50

Step 5: Estimated Bill

• ₹5,250 + ₹262.50 = ₹5,512.50

Note: The actual bill may also include meter charges, FPPAS, previous dues, credits and other applicable adjustments. FPPAS can change periodically based on the rate applicable to the billing period. For October 2026 onward, the applicable FPPAS is -5.24%, subject to subsequent revisions.

Noida Commercial Electricity Bill: Rebates and Penalties

• Delayed Payment Surcharge: If a postpaid consumer fails to pay the bill by the due date, a 1.25% monthly surcharge applies for the first three months of delay, increasing to 2% per month thereafter. 
• Charge for Exceeding Contracted Demand: Excess demand is charged at 200% of the normal rate, in addition to applicable demand charges.

How to Apply for a Commercial Electricity Connection in Noida

Applications for commercial electricity in Noida can vary depending on the required load. Currently, PVNNL provides a separate application process for commercial, industrial and institutional connections up to 20 kW through Jhatpat and connections above 20 kW through Nivesh Mitra. Here is a detailed explanation of the process:

Documents Required

• Documents to prove the applicant's identity, such as Aadhaar Card, Voter ID

Application Process

The online application process for a new PVVNL electricity connection depends on the required load. Visit the PVVNL portal and, under New Connection, select the appropriate option based on your load requirement:

• Apply For Commercial/ Industrial/ Institutional/ Temporary Connections Up to 20 kW (Jhatpat Connection)
• Apply For Commercial/ Industrial/ Institutional/ Temporary Connections Above 20KW (Nivesh Mitra)

You will then be directed to the respective Jhatpat Portal or Nivesh Mitra Portal to complete the application process.

For connections up to 20 kW:

If you are a commercial electricity customer requiring more than 20 kW, the application should be through the Jhatpat portal.

Step 1: Register on the UPPCL Jhatpat portal by adding your name, mobile number, email, and the captcha mentioned on the page.

Step 2: The mobile number will be registered as your Registered Mobile Number (RMN) and will be used for OTP verification and future communication.

Step 3: After successful registration, your User ID and password will be sent to the registered mobile number through SMS.

Step 4: Provide the required details, including the district, distribution division, required load, permanent address and proposed connection premises address.

Step 5: You will need to upload the required documents and NOCs.

Step 6: You can now submit the application and pay the applicable processing charges.

Step 7: The electricity department processes the application and completes the required verification.

Step 8: Once approved, the connection is released after completion of the required formalities.

For connections above 20 kW:

If you are a commercial electricity customer requiring more than 20 kW, apply through Nivesh Mitra. 

• Step 1: Create an account on the Nivesh Mitra Portal with the required applicant or business details. This registration gives you access to the portal services but does not itself constitute an electricity connection application. 

• Step 2: Log in and select the relevant UPPCL electricity connection service from the available services.
• Step 3: Select Site Inspection and Estimation Service, enter the required details, and pay the processing fee online.
• Step 4: UPPCL will inspect the site and update the feasibility status on the portal. If the site is feasible, you can proceed with the application.
• Step 5: Select Metering & Releasing of Connection Service, pay the estimated cost specified by UPPCL, and submit the required work-completion details.
• Step 6: After approval, UPPCL completes the metering and releases the electricity connection.
