Why do many owners prefer not renting their apartments to bachelors?

Hi, In India, it is usually seen that many owners, as well as societies, do not allow bachelors to rent an apartment. Having said that, here are a few reasons that I feel about why many owners prefer not renting their apartments to bachelors: 1. No Maintenance - Over the years, many people have come to the conclusion that bachelors cannot maintain the property well. They lack the ability to keep the property clean which leads to a lot of damage to the property. 2. Boarding extra people - Many a time, bachelors try to fit in extra people at the place to lower the rent charges. This means extra usage of water, low maintenance of the property and so on. 3. Anarchic behaviour - Generally, neighbours do not like bachelors because they are very noisy, late-night parties, unpredictable come in and go out times and so on. 4. Short Duration of Stay - Students generally stay for a short duration in an apartment. So, every year, the owner might need to find a new tenant for the flat. Although these all points are absolutely unreasonable, there is nothing you can do about this. Hope this helped you figure out the reason!
