My friend told me that generated rent receipts are legally valid if they contain all the required information and are signed by both the tenant and landlord.

After that, he highlighted the steps following which I should be able to generate a rent receipt. 

• He asked me to visit the

  NoBroker Rent Receipt Generator

  page.

• Provide details such as my name, address, and phone number.

• After that, he told me to provide the landlord’s name, address, phone number, and PAN. 

• Select the mode of rent payment.

• Finally, I’ll have to click on Generate Rent Receipt to create the receipt and click on the Download rent receipt button to download it.
