Since childhood I was told that one should not sleep under a big tree like that of banyan at night as plants release carbon dioxide at night and it is harmful for one’s health. I too love plants and almost each and every room of my house has plants. Initially I had no idea about

which indoor plant gives more oxygen but after my mother came to visit me, she gave me a list of plants that I should keep to have a healthy environment in my rooms. If you too want to know about them, read it here.

Make space for everything and create a soothing environment with NoBroker Home Interior Service.

Here is a list of Indoor plants which gives oxygen:
  • Snake plant

  • Rubber plant

  • Spider plant

  • Aloe vera

  • ZZ plant

  • English Ivy

  • Majesty Palm

  • Dracaena Marginata

  • Pothos Ivy

Personally I would suggest you to use clay pots instead of plastic pots if you really want to care about nature. She also clarified that carbon emitted by plants actually does not affect one’s life but yes, it is better to avoid plants that emit high levels of carbon especially if you are planning to keep them in bedrooms.

These plants help to purify the air as well as helps in eliminating odours and also makes the house look beautiful so just choose among them and go for it.

Is it good to keep money plants in the house?

Money plant is the most common indoor plant and it purifies the air as well. It is believed that this plant

  • Reduces stress and anxiety

  • Acts as an anti-radiator

  • Brings good luck

  • Spread positivity and more.

It is hard to name only one plant to answer your question about which indoor plant gives more oxygen, yet as my mother said, opting for a snake plant will be the best as it emits oxygen at night and helps in removing formaldehyde from the air thereby making the environment healthy and comfortable to breathe.
