While renovating my old house, I was discussing the changes with my renovation team when they suggested adding a bay window. I had heard the term before but wasn't sure what it meant, so I asked them about it. They explained that a bay window extends outward from the wall and usually combines three or more windows. My renovation team told me that there are three main types of bay windows: canted, oriel, and box bay windows.

   : They told me that a canted bay window is basically an angled bay window. It can be supported with brackets or extend all the way down to the floor. It can also be installed on the first floor or an upper floor, depending on the house design.

2. Oriel Bay Windows

   : They explained that an oriel bay window is supported by brackets and does not reach the ground. Although it can be installed on different floors, it is more commonly seen on upper floors. These windows can also add a decorative and traditional look to a home.

3. Box Bay Windows

   : A box bay window is a type of oriel bay window. Its side windows are usually positioned at 90-degree angles, giving it a box-like shape. They also mentioned that this design can be useful for creating a small indoor garden or a cosy space near the window.
