Backgroud: The apartment was constructed 2 years back on a site with A Khata but it’s not bifurcated (There are no individual khatas for each apartment) When I go to the BBMP office, they are asking to come with all the apartment owners for khata registration. Questions: 1. Should all the owners of the apartment apply at the same time for khata bifurcation? Cant it be done individually? 2. Who ideally applies for khata bifurcation in case of an apartment, is it the residents or the builder, or BBMP (after issuing OC)? 3. And in whose name khata bifurcation will be done if some of the apartments are not sold by the builder? 4. How to pay the tax without khata bifurcation? Please help in answering the above questions.
