I recently got my home loan transferred to a nationalized bank so I think I can answer this question properly. At the start, I contacted a few banks and all these banks had the same rate of interest so I decided to go with SBI. Although the process seemed to be easy at the start, it took quite long to get all the things processed. 1.You will first need a NOC from the current bank for transferring your home loan. You can get it from the bank at any point of time. 2.All the documents like adhar copy: 1.Pan card 2.ITR of last 3 years 3.Form 16 of last 3 years 4.Pay slip 5.Loan sanction copy of previous bank and list of documents submitted to previous bank 6.Bank statement of last 1 year 7.All EMI transaction record of previous bank 3.Bank will do a background check about your employment and will also verify the documents and payments from your previous bank. Apart from this, you need to pay a small processing fees. This fee can vary from bank to bank.
