Wall putty is basically a mix of white cement, water and other additives which is used to seal imperfections and fill gaps. How to calculate the coverage area of wall putty?

There are just a few steps you will need to follow to apply the putty. First
  • Calculate the area of your wall (multiply Length*breadth)
  • Choose the putty type and know across how much area it spreads(you can check the package and know about it)
For example, 1 KG of Birla White WallCare Putty spreads across 20-22 sq ft(coverage of 1.86-2.04sq mt per kg)
  • Make the slurry(mix Birla White WallCare Putty with 36-38% of clean water)
  • Apply the putty(make it 2 mm thick)

  2. Condition of the wall’s surface: This criterion talks about the state of your plastered walls. If the surface is rough, then the number of coats of wall putty needed would be three. Otherwise, a smooth surface can produce a good outcome in just 2 coats of putty as well.
