It is one of the few areas in western suburbs that’s still affordable but not too congested. The Charkop Market, schools, and clinics are all nearby. I only wish there were more malls around here.

It’s not very lively for young people. If you're looking for nightlife, coffee shops or work-from-cafe vibes, you’ll be disappointed. Also, some parts of the sector feel disconnected after 10 PM. I wouldn't walk around late alone.

It feels safe to live here. The police station is just around the corner so safety is not a major issue. The area is mostly residential and community-driven, so ideal for families too. Kandivali and Malad metro stations are within 3-4 km so commuting is easy too.

I invested in Sector 2 back in the late 90s. Today, property values have nearly quadrupled. It's a peaceful location with a good mix of Marathi, Gujarati, and South Indian families. Biggest issue is parking as most older buildings weren’t designed for today’s car density. Also, no major good hospitals or malls within walking distance.

The rent here is still reasonable for a place in Mumbai with decent water supply and 24/7 electricity. But there’s not much nightlife or upscale cafes around here. If you’re someone who wants that fast-paced vibe, it can feel too slow.
