Estimated Budget for Village Home Designing

Estimated Budget for Village Home Designing

Understanding the financial aspect of building a village house is crucial for planning and executing your dream home. Below, we discuss estimated budgets and key cost considerations to help you make informed decisions:

  • Basic Structure: The foundation of any village house begins with its structural framework. For a modest dwelling comprising mud bricks or bamboo, the estimated cost can range from ₹500 to ₹800 per square foot. Opting for locally sourced materials and labour can significantly reduce expenses without compromising quality.
  • Roofing: The type of roofing material plays a vital role in determining overall costs. Thatched roofs, while traditional and aesthetically pleasing, are relatively affordable, ranging from ₹50 to ₹100 per square foot. Alternatively, tin roofs offer durability and weather resistance at a slightly higher cost, averaging between ₹80 to ₹150 per square foot.
  • Flooring and Finishes: Flooring options such as terracotta tiles or polished cement offer a cost-effective solution, averaging around ₹30 to ₹60 per square foot. Incorporating traditional finishes like lime plaster or clay paint adds to the authenticity of your village home while keeping expenses within budget.
  • Utilities and Amenities: Access to basic utilities such as electricity, water, and sanitation are essential considerations. While costs may vary depending on location and accessibility, budgeting approximately ₹50,000 to ₹1,00,000 for these amenities is advisable. Implementing eco-friendly solutions such as rainwater harvesting and solar power can further reduce long-term utility expenses.
  • Furniture and Fixtures: Furnishing your village home can be approached sensibly by opting for locally crafted furniture or repurposing existing items. Budgeting around ₹1,00,000 to ₹2,00,000 for essential furnishings like beds, tables, and seating ensures a comfortable living space without overspending.
  • Contingency Fund: It's prudent to allocate a contingency fund of 10% to 20% of the total budget to account for unforeseen expenses or fluctuations in material prices. This buffer ensures that you're financially prepared for any unexpected challenges that may arise during the construction process.

After 6 months with NoBroker interiors, I'm loving the small stuff . Cutlery tray fits Indian spoons/ladles perfectly, charging shelf in wardrobe with USB port is super handy, magic corner cabinet in kitchen is a gamechanger, soft-close toilet roll holder is a win, and shoe rack ventilation holes are genius. These tiny details make a big difference in daily use .

HSR center is top-notch - clean, professional, and the staff know their stuff 😊. Consultant was super responsive, follows up without being annoying, and answers WhatsApp messages fast. Design finalization is done, 3D render looks gorgeous. Installation starts in 2 weeks. Will update after completion, but wanted to share the positive vibes so far 👍.

Wanted to keep this short. Center visit was solid - good materials, staff are polite and know their stuff 😊. But seeing a completed flat in our complex did it for me. Clean finish, smooth drawers, finished ahead of schedule per homeowner. Booked the same week.

OMG, finally! 😊 We've been stuck on interiors for 3 months, and every website and showroom felt like a total snooze fest. Then we stumbled upon NoBroker's Varthur experience center, and it was a GAME CHANGER! Priya (I think that's her name?) didn't bombard us with catalogs; she actually listened - asked about our apartment, lifestyle, cooking habits... everything! Then she showed us the displays in context of OUR life, not some generic dream home. My husband actually got excited about something for the first time! We signed up on the spot. Now waiting for the design presentation, fingers crossed!

Specifically writing about the false ceiling consultation at the center. I didnt know there was so much to know about ceilings! The designer showed us different options—gypsum board, POP, wooden grid, MDF panels—and explained which works best for which room. The living room got a peripheral cove lighting design with warm LEDs, the bedroom got a simple recessed light plan (she said elaborate ceilings in bedrooms can feel oppressive when your lying down, which makes total sense), and the kids room got a small starlight panel. She also planned all the AC routing, curtain pelmet concealment, and speaker cable channels inside the false ceiling so nothing is visible. The ceiling alone transformed how our rooms feel. Also, their false ceiling pricing per sq ft was pretty competitive—I had checked with two separate contractors before.

To be honest, I was super skeptical about branded interior services - thought they were just overpriced and overhyped 😊. Had to be dragged to the Horamavu center by a friend. But the quality difference between their factory-made units and my current flat's site-built work was night and day! Machine-pressed edge banding vs hand-applied tape, smooth drawer runners, thicker plywood... I was sold! Guess you need to see and touch things to believe 'em 😁

We visited the HSR NoBroker experience center for flooring and wall treatment options for our living room. The team showed us various options including wooden flooring, vitrified tiles, and designer wall panels. They explained the pros and cons of each option for Bangalore's climate. The combination of textured wall panels with warm lighting they suggested transformed our visualization completely.

We are from Thanisandra and visited the center for our villa interior project. The designer adapted her approach for a larger independent house—didn't just scale up apartment designs. She proposed separate design personalities for ground floor (where guests are entertained—formal, elegant) and first floor (private family spaces—warm, casual). The staircase got under-staircase pull-out storage that holds 30 pairs of shoes. The double-height living room got a dramatic false ceiling with a chandelier recess. The master bedroom got a walk-in closet design instead of a regular wardrobe. Villa interiors need different thinking than apartment interiors and this team clearly has experience with both formats.

I recently completed my home interior project with NoBroker Interiors, and my overall experience was a mix of positives along with a few areas for improvement. The highlight of the project was the execution as per the company norms. The concerned Project Manager was responsive throughout the process. I’m satisfied with the execution and delivered results on the ground. In terms of pricing, NoBroker Interiors is on the higher side. However, they do follow through on their commitments and ensure completion of the work, which adds value if you are looking for a relatively hassle-free experience. Overall, I would consider NoBroker Interiors a reliable option, especially if your priority is strong execution and project management. That said, there is some scope for improvement in design detailing and proactiveness in guiding the customers in their home renovations.

My experience might help others . My wife and I were stuck on interior colours for our Baner flat - she wanted white, I wanted wood tones. As a working professional with limited time to manage contractors, the project management aspect is what attracted me. Visited the center with a Pinterest board of 47 saved kitchen images. The consultant didn’t get overwhelmed. She patiently went through each one, identified common elements I was drawn to (handleless cabinets, wooden textures, open shelving), and created a unified design that captured the essence of all those pins. She basically translated my chaotic Pinterest board into a cohesive design. Overall we are very satisfied with the entire experience from start to finish.
