My father told me that the AC in his room was not working properly. So we hired a technician to repair the problem. While working on the repair, I asked him why the AC can't keep up with heat. He said there are several reasons, such as poor insulation, duct leakage, maintenance issues, and more, which I have included here to give you an idea of the causes.

Why My AC Can't Keep Up With the Heat?
Here are the reasons why the AC is not keeping up with the heat.
My technician mentioned that one common issue is having an AC that is too small for the space. If the unit isn’t powerful enough, it keeps running without ever really cooling the area properly.
The technician pointed out that if the ducts are leaking or poorly insulated, cold air can escape before it reaches the intended areas, causing the AC to work harder.
Finally, the technician also explained that skipping regular maintenance can make the AC less effective, use more energy, and possibly break down.
I hope these pointers give you an idea: why the AC can't keep up with the heat.

Last year, during my peak summer, I found my AC not working properly. I called an AC technician and asked him why can t my AC keep up with the heat. He told me that one of the main reasons that happens is because of poor insulation in the house. Because of this, the air conditioner has to work harder to counteract the heat buildup, and this puts a strain on the AC system.
What AC cant Keep Up with Heat?
Apart from that, he told me about a few other reasons the AC wasn’t able to keep up with the heat. I have added those reasons below.
Dirty Air Filters: According to him, air filters are necessary to stop dust, dirt, etc., from flowing into the air. When these filters become dirty, it lowers the system’s effectiveness in cooling the air.
Low Refrigerant Levels: Another thing that he told me was that the efficacy of cooling is reduced when the refrigerant levels become low. This affects the ability of the AC to remove the heat.
Thermostat Issues: He also said if there are thermostat issues, then this problem will be consistent.
He started inspecting the AC after that and told me the AC filters had become dirty. He cleaned them, and the issue was resolved. I hope this helps.
