However, these trees have tap roots and should not be planted too close to the garden or it can dampen the area and their roots can even damage the walls. We used to have a peepal tree long back but had to cut it down since it was damaging our house.
Personally, after much consideration I would say that Ashoka is the best tree to plant in front of house in India, but you can opt for some others as well if you like.
