In a recent move, the Govt. of India has decided to ban the transfer of ownership of YEIDA plots. This was done to prevent misuse of industrial plot allotments and expedite the development process. According to the Government, several requests for the YEIDA plot transfer process were filed without necessary map approvals and construction. Though this is not illegal, the intent of the Govt. for swift industrial development was being hindered.
The new rules are effective immediately, but inheritance after death will continue to follow the existing procedures. Here are the documents that are necessary for that.
Application form which can be downloaded from the
YEIDA official website. It can also be bought from authorised banks for Rs. 100.
Original death certificate of the allottee.
Indemnity bond.
Copy of identity proof of legal heir.
No objection affidavit
Copy of ration card
Certificate of family members of the deceased as issued by SDM/ tehsildar.
Rs.1000 demand draft or pay order in favour of YEIDA which is payable at Noida or Greater Noida.
And that’s about it. I hope you find this helpful. For more information, you can check the official
YEIDA website. Hope this helps.
