EWS stands for Economically Weaker Section, a certificate that provides relaxation in government jobs and in the application for admission to government educational institutions. General candidates benefit from this reservation a lot. To be eligible for it, your family income must be less than 8 lakhs and you should not belong from the ST/ST/OBC category. No ST/ST/OBC category will be eligible for this.
