To begin with, I guess you are either working in Hinjewadi or Magarpatta. I think you must have already researched about both the places, nevertheless, I am happy to help you out! Hinjewadi and Magarpatta are like the north and south poles of Pune. It takes approximately 1 and a half hours to reach from Hinjewadi to Magarpatta and vice versa (25 to 30 km apart).
You can have two options: staying in the middle of Hinjewadi and Magarpatta or Staying close to either of the areas.
So let’s start with one!
Staying in the middle of Hinjewadi and MagarpattaThere are three options:
1.Khadki or Wakdewadi: Relatively quiet and calm area and exactly in the middle of Hinjewadi and Magarpatta.
2.Pashan: It is neither in between Hinjewadi or Magarpatta but you can commute quickly through the respective routes. Pashan is a quiet and calm place with several defence organisations in the proximity.
3.Shivaji Nagar or Deccan: The main Pune or the old Pune consists of Deccan, Shivaji Nagar and various ‘Peth’ areas. If you want to enjoy the typical ‘Punekar’s’ lifestyle and experience the culture, it is a great option to stay in the ‘Peth’ area. Although, the disadvantage would be spending a lot of time in the traffic while commuting.
Staying close to either of the areasThis is the most convenient option if you are working in Hinjewadi or Magarpatta.
1.Near HinjewadiThere are several options for people working in the Hinjewadi IT area. The expensive and close to city options are Pimple Saudagar, Aundh and Baner. The affordable options are Hinjewadi, Wakad, Kaspate Vasti and so on.
2.Near MagarpattaIf you wish to stay in the post area you can consider Koregaon Park, Kalyani Nagar and Magarpatta itself. Other affordable options are Kharadi, Hadapsar and Wagholi.
