Hey,

A registered sale agreement is deemed to be valid for 3 years. If there is a negative clause present in the agreement, for example, in case the buyer needs to register a house within 3 months, the limitation is then extended by such a period.
In India, a sale agreement is valid for the period as mentioned in the agreement itself. If both parties mutually agree to modify and decrease the validity period of the agreement, then they are allowed to do so.
I suggest you consult a lawyer to confirm the same.

I heard that any sale agreement is valid for 3 years. If I add a clause stating a time period (within 6 months in the document) , then will it automatically get cancelled after 6 months?
