Just as the monsoon arrives, my worries go sky rocketing. Will there be water leakage from roof? How to stop water leakage from concrete roof? How much would it cost me? 

I am clouded with these questions almost every year. But last year, I took the matter seriously and started figuring out reasons for the water leakage and some hacks to fix them. Let me tell you how and what I did.

Before beginning the fixes, I started looking for the reasons. I started off by locating the source of leakage. Apparently, there were some weeds growing around the water tank which got deep rooted making the concrete roof weak. 

Next followed this:

I got roof cement and an elastomeric sealant from the hardware store. Then I cleaned the roof and got rid of the weeds. Next, I started filling the gaps, holes and cracks with mortar. I let it dry and then spread elastomeric sealant to reinforce the sealing. 

If you spot that the damage is too much, I am afraid you won’t be able to handle it yourself. In such a situation you must call professional.
