It was mentioned there that to repair brick wall cracks, remove the cracked mortar, wet the bricks, use mortar to seal the joints, then prime and paint the surface.
To repair cracks in your brick wall, you can follow the below process:
Use a raking bar or mortar raking tool and clean the cracked mortar from your brick wall.
Tap the chisel with the hammer till the mortar cracks. Make sure not to go any deeper than 1.5 to 2 cm into the wall to avoid damaging the bricks.
To make sure all of the extra mortar has been removed, carefully clean the empty joints with a wire brush.
Wet the wall using water.
Create a mortar mixture with a ratio of 1:4, or 1 part cement to 4 parts sand.
Apply mortar to the joints using a brick jointer. Take care to avoid leaving any gaps.
Now, use the trowel's flat face, flatten all of the mortar, and remove any excess mortar from the brick.
Let it settle for 3 to 7 days.
