How to Install Ceramic Floor Tile on Wood?

While browsing through social media, I came to learn tha ceramic tiles can be installed on wood. So, I called my cousin and asked him how to install ceramic floor tile on wood. He told me that the process is pretty easy and I had to follow the instructions that he would provide me. Here is what my cousin told me. 

How to Lay Ceramic Tile On a Wood Floor?

The first thing he told me was to get a few tools which are

• Tile cutting tool

• Tile spacers

• Large sponges

• Buckets

• Measuring tape

• Chalk line

• Notched tile trowel

• Flat margin trowel

• Framing square

• Safety glasses

• Rubber gloves

After that, he told me about the steps on how to attach ceramic tile to wood. 

• He asked to prepare the substrate by installing cement board panels. 

• Then he told me to dry-fit the tiles.

• After that, he asked me to make a cement mortar and spead it using a flat side trowel. 

• Now, he asked me to gently lay the tile by tiwsiting it back and forth and pressing it depper in to the thinset. 

• He aslo told me that, some tiles might need cutting and to measure and cut them accordingly. 

• For the final step, he told me to grout the tile and them seal it accordingly.
