Here is the process the AC technician followed to install the window AC on my second floor.
He started by taking measurements of the window's width where I planned to place the air conditioner.
Then he opened the window a little and took off the screen.
To support the AC unit, he now positioned the brackets on the window sill and fastened them with screws.
After that, he lifted the air conditioner and set it on the brackets.
He then sealed the spaces surrounding the unit with foam insulation strips.
Finally, to make sure the AC was operating correctly, he finally connected it in and switched it on.
