You can also install L-shaped clips or place small wooden blocks between the window frames to hold the sash firmly.
After that, check if you need an outside support bracket. A bracket helps hold the weight of the air conditioner and adds safety, especially on upper floors.
Many brackets are easy to install from inside the room.
Then pull out the side panels of the air conditioner until they reach the window frame. Attach them with screws or clips. These panels block hot air, insects, and moisture from entering the room.
Finally, seal any gaps with foam strips or insulation. Plug in the unit and turn it on to test that it works properly.
