How Do You Install A Dimmer Light Switch?
Here is the process, the electrician followed whom I hired from NoBroker:
He began by turning off the circuit's power at the fuse box.
The switch cover was then removed using a flathead screwdriver, and the switch was then disconnected from the box using a Phillips head screwdriver.
To be sure the power was off, he checked with a voltage tester.
After removing the screws holding the electrical wires on the switch's side, he disconnected the wiring from the existing switch.
Following that, he joined the wires to the dimmer light switch using needle-nose pliers in the same manner as they were earlier attached.
He reinstalled the switch plate and fastened the dimmer switch to the box.
Finally, he tested the dimmer switch by switching the power on.
