Hi,

When there is a change in ownership, the ownership of water connections can be altered, but only after submitting a written application in the required format to the relevant offices with the supporting documentation listed below. Only after paying off all outstanding water bill debt, including any arrears, is a change in ownership permitted. If the water metre that was installed on the consumer's property is broken, the new owner will also need to replace the metre. Application fees for ownership changes are Rs. 20 and Rs. 100, respectively.
Documents to be Submitted
Ownership certificate (In case of sale)
Application form (Form No.1)
Mobile Number
Copy of Aadhaar card (New owner)
Legal Heirship certificate (In case of death)
To initiate a KWA (Kerala Water Authority) ownership change, follow these steps:
Obtain the required documents, including the
application form for an ownership change, the original agreement of purchase or sale, and proof of identity and address.
Visit the nearest KWA office and submit the application form along with the supporting documents.
Pay any applicable fees or charges for the ownership change process.
Provide any additional documents or information requested by the KWA.
Once approved, the KWA will update the ownership details in their records.
I hope this information helps you out.
