Summary
If you have a BWSSB water bill, you can easily find the RR number on the bill. Check the top section and look for “RR Number” or “RR No.” Do not confuse it with the bill or account number. Save the RR number on your phone for easy reference when paying future water bills.

Last month, I taught my son how to pay the water bill. While explaining the process, I told him that the RR number is important because we need it to identify the water connection. He then asked me how to check RR number in water bill. I showed him that it is very easy to find. If you have a Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) water bill, you can check the RR number directly on the bill.

How can I Check RR Number in Water Bill?

Check your old water bill

  1. Take any old water bill issued by the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB). You can find the RR number printed on the bill.

  2. In most cases, the bill shows the RR number near the top, along with other details about your water connection.

Look at the top section of the bill

  1. Check the top portion of your water bill carefully. Look for a field marked RR Number or RR No.

  2. This number identifies your water connection. Do not confuse it with the bill number, account number, or other numbers printed on the bill.

Use a sample BWSSB bill for reference

  1. If you cannot identify the RR number easily, search Google for a sample BWSSB water bill.

  2. Compare the sample bill with your own bill and check where BWSSB displays the RR number. This can help you understand the format and location of the number.

Once you find the RR number, save it somewhere safe. You can note it in your phone, save a photo of the bill, or write it in your diary. Keeping the number safe can save you time when you pay your water bill again. I hope this helps you understand how you can check the RR number on your water bill.
