The first step is to gather the right paints. For this effect, you will require two satin paints in different shades. You can do so by first purchasing the main colour, which will be your base, and then buying white paint. You then need to mix these two in small amounts to make the highlight shade.
Now, you must move out all the other items, such as your furniture and ensure the working space is completely clean.
Sand the surface with sandpaper to smoothen out the surface.
Once the sanding process is complete, take a clean brush and wipe the surface to get rid of any dust or grit. You must ensure that the surface is absolutely clean to move ahead.
Take your paint roller and apply a thin layer of the primer on the surface. Wait for it to dry. If the original surface can be seen, paint another coat of primer and keep it dry.
