I have installed wooden tiles in my house which are dark in colour. It totally changed the look of my room. The wooden tiles dark in colour were shiny and reflected the light. So, surprisingly even though the dark colour is supposed to absorb since the surface was shiny the light got reflected back which in turn made the room look bigger rather than smaller. I believe it is a very wrong concept to assume that all dark colours absorb light. With light-coloured walls, the dark floor created a fantastic aura. Plus, we should remember that during the daytime the shades of the tile and the wall change due to the shadow of the furniture colour and curtain colour.
