It depends on the situation. If a tenant is residing in a house for 30 years but there is a proper rental agreement for a period of 30 years, a tenant cannot claim the property. If there was no rental agreement made and there was absenteeism from the owner’s side for a period of 12 years then there is a high chance that the tenant can claim the property.
