What Are the UHBVN Electricity Rates for 2026-27?
The UHBVN domestic electricity rates are set by the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission and depend on your sanctioned load and monthly consumption. The current 2026 tariff rates are as follows:

- HERC kept domestic electricity tariff rates for FY 2026-27 unchanged in its order dated 25 March 2026. The rates depend on sanctioned load and monthly consumption: Category I covers loads up to 2 kW and consumption up to 100 units per month; Category II covers loads up to 5 kW; and Category III covers loads above 5 kW. How to Calculate Your UHBVN Electricity Bill?
You can calculate your UHBVN electricity bill by adding your energy charges and fixed charges, then adding the taxes, surcharges, adjustments and rebates. You can use this formula to calculate:
Electricity Bill = Energy Charges + Fixed Charges + Other Charges - Rebates or Subsidies
For example, suppose your domestic connection has a sanctioned load of up to 5 kW and you consume 250 units in a month. Using the Category II rates, your calculation amount will be:
- First 150 units × ₹2.95: ₹442.50
- Next 100 units × ₹5.25: ₹525.00
- Total energy charges: ₹967.50
- Fixed charges for this consumption range: ₹0
- Subtotal before other charges: ₹967.50
This is still not your final bill, as it will likely be higher after adding electricity duty, fuel surcharge adjustments and other charges. The amount shown on your UHBVN bill is what you must pay by the due date.
How to Pay Your UHBVN Electricity Bill
You can pay your UHBVN electricity bill online through the official e-payment portal using your account details and an available payment method. UHBVN also provides offline payment options through its authorised collection channels.
How to Pay UHBVN Bill Online?
You can follow these steps to pay your bill through the official UHBVN e-payment portal:
- Step 2: Select Quick Pay and enter the account number printed on your UHBVN electricity bill, along with your Aadhaar Number or Parivar Pehchan Patra number, as required. Then, enter the CAPTCHA code and proceed to fetch your bill details.
- Step 3: Check the consumer name, address, load and bill amount payable displayed on the payment page before proceeding
- Step 4: Select an available payment method. UHBVN currently lists options including credit/debit card, net banking, UPI, Paytm, and NEFT/RTGS/IMPS, depending on the payment route selected
- Step 5: Complete the payment and save the transaction details or e-receipt for future reference. UHBVN's payment receipt includes details such as the receipt number, transaction ID, account number and amount paid.
Note: If the amount was deducted but the payment is not reflected, do not make another payment immediately. Use the Payment Status Tracker to check the transaction status before retrying.
How to Pay UHBVN Bill Offline?
If you prefer to pay in person, you can do it through the following methods:
- At UHBVN Sub-Division Offices: Visit your nearest UHBVN sub-division cash counter with your bill or account number. Make the payment using the payment methods accepted at the counter and collect the receipt as proof of payment.
- At Common Service Centres/Atal Seva Kendra: Visit an authorised CSC or Atal Seva Kendra offering UHBVN bill collection services. Provide your account details, make the payment and collect the transaction receipt. UHBVN lists CSC/Atal Seva Kendra as an offline collection channel.

- Step 3: Log in through your mobile number or your user ID and password
- Step 4: Enter your consumer or account details and the other information requested on the portal
- Step 5: Select the relevant complaint category and provide details of the issue
