I moved to Maralakunte mainly because my office near Hebbal is not too far. The area is still developing, but I like the open spaces and less traffic. Rent is affordable. You do need your own vehicle though, public transport is not that great here yet.

Bought a plot in Maralakunte about two years ago. The land prices have started picking up slowly with all the surrounding development in North Bangalore. It is close to the airport side and near upcoming tech parks, which gives it long-term potential.

Moved here last year with my partner. We wanted a more affordable area that has decent gated communities. There aren’t too many gyms or cafes nearby, so we mostly use in-society facilities. Roads are better than expected, but peak-time traffic can be frustrating.

I built my house in Maralakunte back in 2019. At that time, it was mostly open land. Now, more houses have come up and some new apartment projects too. Roads have improved a bit, and there are more streetlights now. It is a peaceful place to live.

The place was quite green and open compared to where we live. Streets were quiet, and the air felt fresh. Not too many vehicles or crowd.

Whats good about Maralakunte

  • Greenary and clean environment
  • Tranquil surroundings with sights of nature
  • Good roads and connectivity to nearby cities
  • Emerging social infrastructure like schools and hospitals
  • Proximity to employment hubs of Bengaluru and Tumkur

What can be improved about Maralakunte

  • Lack of major entertainment and shopping areas
  • Public transportation can be further strengthened
  • Scarcity of high-end housing options
  • Absence of direct rail connectivity
  • Underdeveloped industrial activities in surrounding areas
