Best filter coffee and breakfast spots in Malleshwaram, your honest picks?

I'm planning a breakfast outing in Malleshwaram and wanted some genuine recommendations. Which places do you keep going back to for good filter coffee, dosa, or idli? Are the famous spots still worth the crowd, or are there smaller places that locals prefer now? Looking for honest suggestions from regular visitors.

Malleshwaram for families vs young couples, who fits better here?

My wife and I are planning to move to Malleshwaram after our marriage, and we're trying to figure out if it's the right place for young couples like us. Many people say Malleshwaram is more family oriented because of its schools, parks, and old neighbourhood vibe. For those who have lived there as a young couple, how has your experience been? Did you find enough things to do, or did the area feel too quiet compared to other parts of Bengaluru?

Bachelor budget breakdown for Malleshwaram, what should I expect?

I'm planning to move to Malleshwaram as a working bachelor and totally confused about the monthly budget. Heard PG rents start from 8k but good ones go up to 15k, plus most owners here don't easily give flats to bachelors. Food is cheap thanks to CTR and tiffin places, but how much is realistic for total expenses? Anyone living here recently?

Why has Malleshwaram become so expensive compared to a few years back?

Born and brought up in Malleshwaram only, my family is staying here from 1980s. But seriously last 3-4 yrs what is happening with the rents and property prices? My uncle is searching 2 bhk for his son near 8th cross side, asking rate is 45-50k now. Same flat was 25k just before COVID. How is this possible in such short time?

With 60k a month, after rent, groceries, electricity, transport and a little saving, how comfortably can one actually live here? Single, couple, or family, please share your real monthly spending. Is 60k enough for a decent life, or are people quietly struggling to manage?

bro if you manage to find a decent, non-claustrophobic PG here for 10k including food...you’ve won half the battle. Just budget another 8k-10k for weekend pub hops and cafe dates because your social life will easily out-expense your rent..welcome to blr😊😊

Malleshwaram became expensive because demand exploded after COVID for established central areas with metro access, greenery, schools, and old Bangalore charm, while supply stayed limited due to fewer new large developments.

tell your uncle to look slightly further out towards Mattikere, West of Chord Road, or older pockets of Vyalikaval if he wants to stay under 30k. The core Malleshwaram cross roads have turned into an exclusive zone where people are paying for the brand name not the actual carpet area of the flat

as a couple, 60k is the absolute tipping point here. A decent 2 bhk will easily eat up 30k-35k of your budget. After adding groceries, BESCOM bills, internet, and basic commuting, you are left with maybe 10k for entertainment and savings. It is a very tight walk..

I wouldn't say people are struggling on 60k...but they are definitely budgeting more carefully than a few years ago...a comfortable lifestyle is possible, though luxury spending may need to be limited.
