Juhu is a posh residential neighborhood, primarily known for its famous Juhu Beach. Situated in the South-west Mumbai, it is close to various popular localities like Flying Club Shanty Town, Shivaji Nagar, Gulmohar Rd, Juhu Vile Parle Development Scheme, Vallabh Nagar and Nutan Laxmi Colony. Back in the nineteenth century, Juhu Beach was an island, previously known as 'Juvem' during the Portuguese Empire. In 1890, Jamsetji Tata constructed a bungalow near the riverbanks.
