Harlur, bangalore

Harlur is a very nice area with easy access to basic essentials within walking distance. There are hospitals, tech parks nearby. Kaikondrahalli Lake is my usual weekend spot, which is around 4 kms from my apartment.

Not the fanciest locality in Bangalore, but it has some pros you cannot miss out on. It may not have aesthetic or insta-worthy cafes like in Koramangala, it's peaceful and provides good connectivity via Sarjapur Road, one of the popular tech hubs in the city.

I like this locality for its easy access to IT parks. AMR tech park is where I work and it's around 3 km from my flat. The area can be easily known as tech hub, and it's developing fast too. It's ideal for professionals and families.

Not a good locality for college students as it lacks the vibrance of Bangalore nightlife. It's cheaper than other prime areas in the city but in terms of recreational spots or places to hang out in, there is nothing much to do. I have been in Koramangala before, and now that I moved here, this feels nothing like the Bangalore I knew.

I shifted here for my job, and my office is merely 2.5 km away from my apartment. I like the daily convenience but weekend life is boring because there's nothing much to do. Limited cafes and brewaries, so I often have to go to Koramangala, and the traffic kills the fun too. No nearby metro. Church Street is also around 15 kms away too.

This area offers easy access to essentials and affordable housing, especially with its proximity to Sarjapur Road. While traffic during peak hours can be challenging, it remains manageable. Overall, it’s a decent place to live, balancing convenience, affordability, and accessibility well.

Renting a 1 bhk near Harlur main road for 18k is actually decent. HSR Layout is like 10 mins away so weekend plans are sorted. Only issue is evening traffic near Sarjapur Road junction is a total L, but location saves life!

super peaceful! Local supermarkets and cafes are right downstairs. But water supply is heavily tanker dependent and cost gets crazy in summer... major headache TBH.

Quiet residential pockets near Reliable Lakedew feel super safe. Good schools and clinics are all within 10 mins. Main problem is the bottleneck near Haralur signal during peak hours... crossing the road safely with kids is a whole task.

Quick access to Bellandur tech parks makes daily commute super fast AF by bike. Swiggy options till 3 am are top tier. But monsoon waterlogging near low-lying road patches gives major ick... turns streets into rivers.

Harlur has all daily stuff covered with cheap veggie stalls near the main market belt. Potholes on internal roads show up after every rain, but local autos are easy to get and overall vibe is super chill.

Morning walks inside gated lanes are peaceful. But footpaths along the main road are completely taken over by parked bikes and vendors, zero aura. Luckily local chemists and grocery shops deliver straight to the door.

I usually come here for my matcha runs..coco club is the best!!! but finding a car parking spot on internal streets during weekends is insane though... lanes are completely clogged 24/7.

Rental yield here is crazy high because IT folks working in ORR and HSR rush to book flats. Steady returns IMO. But summer water scarcity and narrow road congestion are real red flags for high-budget tenants.

Staying in a shared flat near Amrita College road for 7k, life is sorted! Juice corners, fast food spots, and print shops right downstairs. Highkey noisy near the main stretch, but for student life it FR slaps!

decent locality overall if you work nearby though. moved near Sarjapur road recently. Catching autos or cabs to EcoSpace is super easy. But streetlights in a few internal side lanes stay dark at night...

finding flats around here is pretty easy. rent is cheap too..you will get a decent 2 bhk at 25k.. buses are frequent enough, so even without metro, going towards Swargate daily is manageable

Peak hour traffic at Navale Bridge signal is getting ridiculous now. Heavy trucks block the highway everyday evening, and taking a car through the service road takes almost 30 minutes just for 1 km... total headache.

Great for students..i am here since last year for college. and social life is so awesome! lots of food places like Pizza burst and brahma for good non veg..we also have the famous Shivsrushti Historical theme park nearby

Footpaths near D-Mart are completely blocked by vegetable vendors. Walking in the morning is risky because bikes drive on the wrong side on the service road to avoid the signal traffic.

Weekly vegetable market is cheap, and medical shops plus small clinics along the main road make staying here very easy..the traffic is a pain though

Rental demand stays high here because of university students. Getting 15k rent for a 2BHK is smooth, and flats near the main highway don't stay vacant for more than a week.

Dust from heavy traffic near the highway bypass is unbearable during daytime. Parking a car near the local shops on Sinhgad Road is almost impossible on weekends... always too jammed.

hate the water supply thing here..lots of building owners depend on tankers so summers are bad..

CBSE schools and daycare spots are quite close so travel time is very less. Area feels safe during evening hours, plus small green spaces near Jambhulwadi Lake side are nice for morning walks.

lots of colleges around so there's a young vibe to the area..its great for families also since theres local temples and some amusement parks too..also corporate offices like wipro are close..but i feel garbage collection somedays are irregular..sometimes piles are just left on the corner for days...
