  • Maintenance charges

Draft your rental agreement including maintenance charges, utility bill charges along the amount of rent that needs to be paid. Also mention from which date the rent will increase. The mode of payment details should also be included in the rent agreement. Any interest that must be paid for delayed payment should also be included in the rent agreement.

I  wanted to know what documents are required for the rental agreement. And after checking Ms Bhanu’s and Sarmana’s write-up, I am convinced what document required for rent agreement. I checked out their answer and went to the sub-registrar’s office to create my rental agreement. And the documents they have mentioned were asked of me. Besides what Bhanu and Sarmana have mentioned here are a few documents you need for the rental agreement in Bangalore:

 
  1. Document which has property details such as Property Khata, Property Identification Number (PID), or sale agreement of the property. 

  2. Address proof of the property that will be registered.

  3. Address proof and Photo ID of the tenant.

  4. Address proof and Photo ID of the owner.

  5. Demand Draft of the stamp duty and registration fee.

  6. Two witnesses and their photo ID.
