Is Wagholi, Pune good for investment?

Wagholi is located on the Pune-Nagar Highway in the eastern part of Pune. It is close to the Kharadi IT park and hence there has been rapid development in terms of real estate, social infrastructure and education sectors. Before the IT companies settling in Kharadi and nearby areas, Wagholi and areas further were predominantly known for industrial regions. A decade ago, Wagholi was just an extension of Pune in the eastern corridor with no real estate or infrastructure developments. However, now it has become a well developed residential area among both investors and buyers. Though Wagholi is in the outskirts of Pune, there has been a lot of investment here. The major reason being saturation point in the main areas in Pune. Additionally, its location plays a huge role. It is present on Nagar Road and has a great connectivity with the airport, Solapur Highway, Bund Garden and the Shikrapur-Chakan Road. Another aspect why Wagholi is emerging as a real estate hub is due to the affordability, social infrastructure development and proximity to IT hubs. There are a number of malls, shopping centres, hotels and multiplexes in its vicinity. The six-lane highway makes it convenient to travel to other parts of the city as well as other cities like Nashik and Nagar. With so many upcoming developments, Wagholi has very good scope for developing into a prominent residential and commercial hub.
